Cammell Laird

Cammell Laird is part of the fabric of Britain’s shipbuilding heritage, providing ship repair services to the international defence and commercial marine sectors for 200 years.

Situated on the River Mersey in the North West of England, Cammell Laird’s operations cover 130 acres including four dry docks, a non tidal wet basin and one of the largest modular construction halls in Europe.

It is this large modular construction hall, combined with Cammell Laird’s innovative build strategies that allow it to achieve exceptional value for money for offshore wind clients.

Cammell Laird’s construction hall has been home to recent construction projects including the block build of the Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carriers, the RRS Sir David Attenborough and the Red Kestrel.

Cammell Laird recognises that its people are the key to its continued success. The business continues to develop its successful apprenticeship and training programme that has already recruited over 300 apprentices, including 46 in the past year alone.
